Memorial University Alumni Event Cancellation Policy

Life is unpredictable. Sometimes, despite the best-laid plans, events get cancelled. This policy WILL help us deal with it efficiently and equitably:

Memorial’s Office of Alumni Affairs and Development reserves the right to cancel an event due to low registration or other circumstances making the event non-viable.

If we cancel an event, registrants will be offered a full refund.

If an event is postponed, registrants will have the option to either receive a full refund or transfer the registration to the same event at the new, future date.

Should you cancel participation in an event, the deadline to receive a refund for your registration is 5 business days before the event date.

Please note that cancellations received after the stated deadline will not be eligible for a refund, however, under special circumstances (as determined by the Office of Alumni Affairs and Development) refunds may be granted.

Refunds will not be available for registrants who do not attend an event.

Cancellations will be accepted via phone (709-737-2313), fax (709-737-2008) or e-mail (rsvpalumni@mun.ca), and must be received by the stated cancellation deadline.
