Faculty and Staff Giving

alt

Many of Memorial's faculty and staff pledge their support to the university through payroll deduction. Faculty and staff giving is becoming a key source of donations for Memorial - due in large part to the commitment to the future of the university. These gifts go to such areas as scholarships for students, new equipment for researchers or perhaps a special project within a department. It is entirely up to the donor. They can make it as specific as you wish.

Payroll Deduction - an easy and convenient way to make your gift

The Office of Alumni Affairs and Development offers many different ways for our faculty and staff to give. Many find it convenient to give through payroll deductions. Through the payroll deduction program, faculty and staff can make a larger gift in smaller increments throughout the year. An amount is deducted from payroll each pay period - and it really adds up!

For example: a staff member may make a pledge of $130 per year as a payroll deduction of just $5.00 per pay period!

Make a gift through payroll deduction

To make a gift through payroll deduction or through another method, download the form below, fill out the required information, and send to the Office of Alumni Affairs and Development at the address below (faculty and staff may send their donation through internal mail).

These gifts help us meet the university's current needs and allow the university to plan for future growth. Alumni Affairs and Development can accept your gift in any number of ways, including payroll deduction, credit card, cash, as well as by cheque.

Cheques can be made payable to Memorial University of Newfoundland. Please specify where your gift is to be designated on the 'MEMO' line of your cheque. Send your gift in the form of a cheque to:

Office of Alumni Affairs and Development
Memorial University of Newfoundland
20 Lambe's Lane
St. John's, NL
A1C 5S7

Please note: One-time gifts made by credit card are receipted as your pledge is processed. Recurring gifts through payroll deduction are noted on your annual T4 slip; recurring gifts made through credit card are receipted at the end of the fiscal year.
